There must be many chanllenges in our life. 

It can be solved if the goal is clear, and you want it badly.

I am more than happy to know the feeling when you want something badly.

1.I want to learn Surfing badly, therefore, 

   I am dared to practice eventhough I am crashed be wave all the time.

2.I want my girlfriend badly, therefore, 

   I try best to alleviate my egocentricity eventhough it is stressful.

And we will hold a very important event- the Presidential Election.

In order to conduct the election smoothly and successfully,

This week we have a philosopher to be our TME, and that's Hans.

And he want to discuss philosophy with us.

Here is his description about the theme.

There is a series of philosophy books for kids. 

Let's take a look at "Courage and Fear" this time.

All of us have fears. We might have fear of darkness, loneliness, ghost, war,

nuclear thing, losing job, illness, age, 2012, being ugly, losing beauty,  change,

unknown, got hurt, pain, despite, death ... etc.

Do you notice that? The list is all abstract.

If you are afraid of snake or spider, it's cause it causes the fear of death and got hurt and pain and disease.

If you trace what you fear, you will find they all point to certain element.

One of the greatest fear is standing on the podium. However, we Toastmasters

are conquering it. How cheerful it is!

You can share:

- Define "Fear". In your daily life, what are the worst fears in your mind?

or,

- Define "Courage". How do you encourage yourself or other people?

So think about it and share your opinion with us.

We spend much time in Sunrise on learning public speaking and leadership skills.

do you really appy those skills you learned to your life, work, or other fields?  

Do they work?

Please share your successful experience with us.

 

The reason I would ask this question is, 

we don't want to enjoy the time in the meeting for ourselves only, 

but also want tell other people how we enjoy it.

The best way to prove it is to show your excellent performance in work, life , etc..

That's also the reason Sunrise could have been lasting for more then 10 years.

So, let us know how you apply TM skills to make your work, life better.

In economics, the increasing in the level of prices is called "inflation".

The level of prices is always changeable, only our salaries are stable.

So the theme of mine is "How do you overcome the inflation?"

I heard someone collects coupon and buys commodities in a special sale.

Do you have any good ideas to overcome the inflation?

This week, I would like to talk about our greatest comebacks.

What is a "comeback"? 

A comeback is a situation 

where you have a major failure or disappointment, 

you spend some time in pain, 

reflecting on what went wrong, 

you set yourself the goal of working hard, 

and the following month or the following year, 

you have a major, major success which surpasses the failure.

We all like to hear stories about how someone suffers a failure, 

works hard, and in the end succeeds twice as much. 

All of us have some powerful stories like this, 

and I would like to hear yours. 

I look forward to sharing mine.

Tuesday is Valentine's Day. 

In the US, only couples really do anything on that day. 

But everyone can still appreciate the other relationships they have, 

such as friends and family: 

encouraging them if they're going through a hard time, 

sharing in their enthusiasm if they've had a recent success, 

and showing your appreciation for them even when times are normal.

The question I would like to ask is: 

What is the most important trait or quality that you look for in a romantic partner? 

There is no right or wrong answer. 

Whatever is most important to someone, 

they have a right to look for that in a partner. 

My answer today is different than it was three years ago, 

and I look forward to sharing it on Tuesday.
